Perum Perhutani Forest Management Unit (KPH) South Bandung is one of the management units within the Perum Perhutani Regional Division of West Java and Banten.

The working area of KPH South Bandung, based on Government Regulation No. 72 of 2010, covers 55,480.07 hectares and is located within the administrative regions of Bandung Regency (36,971 ha) and West Bandung Regency (18,505 ha), in West Java Province, with the following territorial boundaries:

• Northern Boundary     : Borders with KPH North Bandung
• Eastern Boundary     : Borders with KPH Garut
• Southern Boundary     : Borders with KPH Cianjur and KPH Garut
• Western Boundary   : Borders with KPH Cianjur

Based on land suitability, the forest area of KPH South Bandung is classified under the Pine Enterprise Class (KP) covering an area of 55,480.07 hectares.

Forest Functions:

• Limited Production Forest (HPT) with slope < 15%  : 1,254.82 hectares
• Limited Production Forest (HPT) with slope > 15%  : 2,526.49 hectares
• Production Forest (HP)                                                          :  43.947,87 hectares

Based on Government Regulation No. 72 of 2010, KPH South Bandung is divided into several Forest Sections (BH) :

1. BH Mt. Jubleg                 : 11.545,00 hectares
2. BH Mt. Malabar             : 15.452,14 hectares
3. BH Mt. Tilu Kancana    : 10.321,25 hectares
4. BH Tambakruyung        : 18.161,68 hectares

Based on the management area, KPH South Bandung consists of 9 Forest Management Subunits (BKPH) and 27 Forest Management Resorts (RPH), with the following details :

• RPH Banjaran = 1.940,91 Ha
• RPH Lembur Awi = 3.224,99 Ha
• RPH Logawa = 2.995,67 Ha

2. BKPH Cililin = 1.850,39 hectares

• RPH Cililin = 963,57 Ha
• RPH Soreang = 886,82 Ha

3. BKPH Ciparay = 3.843, 70 hectares

• RPH Pacet = 1.953,64 Ha
• RPH Mandalawangi = 1.890,06 Ha
