Perum Perhutani Forest Management Unit (KPH) North Bandung is one of the management units within the Perum Perhutani Regional Division of West Java & Banten. The working area of KPH North Bandung, based on Government Regulation No. 72 of 2010 concerning Perum Perhutani, covers 20,560.36 hectares and is located within the administrative region of West Java Province, consisting of :

• Bandung Regency (2,771.07 ha)
• West Bandung Regency (10,710.23 ha)
• Subang Regency (6,780.19 ha)
• Purwakarta Regency (298.87 ha)

With the following territorial boundaries :

• North side      : Borders with KPH Purwakarta
• East side      : Borders with KPH Sumedang
• South side       : Borders with KPH South Bandung
• West side     : Borders with KPH Cianjur

Based on land suitability, the forest area of KPH Bandung Utara is classified into one Business Class (KP): Pine Business Class covering 20,560.36 hectares.

Forest Functions :

• HPT > 15 %                              covering an area of 1.378,43 Ha          (6,70%),
• Production Forest (HP)        covering an area of 3.021,75 Ha          (14,70%,
• Protected Forest (HL)            covering an area of 16.160,18 Ha        (78,60%).

Based on Government Regulation No. 72 of 2010 concerning Perum Perhutani, KPH Bandung Utara is divided into two Forest Areas (BH):

1. BH Mountain Karamat covering an area of  11.641,72 Ha
2. BH Mountain Sanggarah covering an area of  8.918,64 Ha

Based on its management area, KPH Bandung Utara consists of 4 Forest Management Unit Sections (BKPH) and 14 Forest Management Unit Resorts (RPH), with the following breakdown :

1., BKPH Cisalak = 7.892,53 Ha

• RPH Bukanagara = 2.451,41 Ha
• RPH Mt. Kadaka  = 2.432,05 Ha
• RPH Mt. Karamat = 2.636,61 Ha
• RPH Wanayasa   = 372,46 Ha

2. BKPH Lembang = 4.103,32 Ha

• RPH Cikole     = 582,75 Ha
• RPH Cisarua   = 2.378,96 Ha
• RPH Lembang = 1.141,61 Ha

3. BKPH West Manglayang = 4.121,65 Ha

• RPH Arcamanik     = 1.505,03 Ha
• RPH Cibodas        = 1.832,91 Ha
• RPH Ujungberung = 783,71 Ha

4. BKPH Padalarang = 4.442,86 Ha

• RPH South Burangrang = 1.447,86 Ha
• RPH Cikalong Wetan       = 952,30 Ha
• RPH Cipeundeuy             = 1.012,49 Ha
• RPH Rajamandala           = 1.030,21Ha

As of May 2024, the total number of employees at KPH North Bandung is 116 people.
