Perum Perhutani Forest Management Unit (KPH) Gundih is one of the management units in the Central Java Regional Division. The working area is 30,049.42 Ha, and the government is in Grobogan Regency administratively.
KPH Gundih has been classified as a teak forest spread over 37 (thirty-seven) villages in 5 (five) sub-districts. The division of forest area based on its function consists of Production Forest covering an area of26,232.60 Ha, Protected Forest (KPS and HAS) of 3,177.00 Ha and Other Use Areas (LDTI, HTkh and WW) of 639.82 Ha.
Based on the topography, it consists of 4.56% flat land, sloping (59.03%), wavy (35.03%), rather steep (1.33%), and 0.04% steep. KPH Gundih is located at an altitude of 50 to 500 above sea level. Based on Geology, the condition consists of clay and limestone. The climate in the KPH Gundih area is type D, with rainfall of 1,200 mm per year.
The forest area of KPH Gundih has five Forest Sections with teak forest classes and soil types as follows:
10 BKPH and 45 RPH organize forest area management in KPH Gundih. Each RPH has field implementers for plant activities, maintenance, thinning, security, extension/social assistants, environmental assistants, and logging (BKPH). There are 291 employees of KPH Gundih.
The ten BKPHs are Juworo, Madoh Medino, Monggot, Gundih, Kuncen, Jambon, Panunggalan, Dalen, Kragilan, Segorogunung. The area of BKPH Juworo is 2,773.27 Ha, covering the working regions of RPH Bancar, RPH Ledokdawan, RPH Kalang, RPH Kd Ombo, and RPH Kd Tawing. BKPH Madoh Medino has an area of2,996.99 Ha, including RPH Ngablak, RPH Gts Geneng, RPH Ngrandu, RPH Jrg Gesing, RPH Drojo, and RPH Jrg Ngancar. Meanwhile, BKPH Monggot covers an area of 3,046.77 Ha, overseeing RPH Gaji, RPH Pepe, RPH Galeh, RPH Getas, RPH Tapen, and RPH Tirip. BKPH Gundih has an area of 3,222.6 Ha and includes RPH Jurug, RPH Kr Ploso, RPH Ngroto, and RPH Krai. While BKPH Kuncen, the area is 2,247.88 Ha, includes RPH Gn Sari, RPH Sanggrak, RPH Kenteng, RPH Ngemplak, and RPH Saren.
Meanwhile, BKPH Panunggalan has an area of 2,790.94ha, including RPH Coyo, RPH Ngori P, RPH Pondok, and RPH Ngantru. Furthermore, BKPH Jambon has an area of 2,464.76 Ha, overseeing RPH Senggot, RPH Kayen, RPH Dalon, and RPH Dayu. BKPH Dalen has an area of 4,120.77 Ha and includes RPH Nglangon, RPH Dalen, RPH Juron, RPH Suwatu, and RPH Banyutarung. BKPH Kragilan has an area of 3,426.23 Ha, covering RPH Bedoyo, RPH Kl Tengah, RPH Salak, RPH Keyongan, and RPH Wuni. Lastly, BKPH Sgr Gunung (area 2,959.20 Ha) includes RPH Trembes, RPH Nglejok, RPH Sgr Gunung, RPH Sumberan and RPH Bd Plampang.
