Perum Perhutani KPH Bondowoso is one of the work units in Perum Perhutani East Java Regional Division, located in the Government Administration of Bondowoso and Situbondo Regencies with the following regional boundaries:
• North: Java Sea
• South: KPH Jember
• East: KPH North Banyuwangi and KPH West Banyuwangi
• West: KPH Probolinggo
Perum Perhutani KPH Bondowoso is a State-Owned Enterprise (PP 30/2003), part of Perum Perhutani East Java Regional Division, which is divided into the following working areas:
1. Bondowoso Regency (60,529.24 ha = 5.3%).
2. Situbondo Regency (28,341.11 ha = 2.5%).
Meanwhile, the forest area consists of 4 (four) forest sections (BH), divided into 271 plots (88,870,35 ha), i.e. :
1. BH Gunung Ringgit 78 plots (18,737.1 ha = 21.1% ).
2. BH Prajekan 30 plots (18,072.8 ha = 20.3% ).
3. BH Wonosari 112 plots (33.010.05 ha = 37.1%).
4. BH Northeastern Lereng Yang 51 plots ( 19,050.4 ha = 21.4% ).
The latitude of KPH Bondowoso in 4 (four) forest sections (BH) is between 7º41’06,3″ South Latitude – 8º07’40.67″ South Latitude and 113º35’39.07″ East Longitude – 114º19’28.67″ East Longitude.
The forest land use status of KPH Bondowoso is based on BATB (Official Report on Land Boundary) from 1901 to 2004.
The forest area of KPH Bondowoso is 88,870,35 ha consisting of the following:
1. Production Area 39.046,29 ha (43,9%).
2. Protected Area 43.868,20 ha (49,4 %).
3. Non-production area 5.955,86 ha (6,7 %), (audit SDH 2011).
