Perum Perhutani Forest Management Unit (KPH) Saradan is one of the management units in the East Java Regional Division. It covers an area of​​ 37.985,45 hectares, comprising 5,8% Protected Forest and 94,2% Production Forest.

The forest area of ​​KPH Saradan is located in 4 (four) government administrative areas, i.e., Madiun Regency 24.930,99 Ha ; Ngawi Regency 5.196,11 Ha ; Nganjuk Regency 552,03 Ha and Bojonegoro Regency 7.306,32 Ha.

Geographically, the KPH Saradan area is located at 4°45′ to 5°1’E and 7°22′ to 7°42°LS with a type D climate type, with a Q value of 94%.

Based on the conditions and the Brantas watershed area of​​13,139.98 Ha, KPH Saradan consists of 2 (two) Watersheds (DAS):

1.   Bengawan Solo Watershed, covering an area of ​​24,797.2 Ha
2.   Brantas Watershed, covering an area of ​​13,139.9 Ha

Meanwhile, based on the topography, the forest area in KPH Saradan is flat to sloping (0% – 25%), with a height range of 125 ms to 650 ms.

The forest management work area is divided into 3 Forest Management Sub Units (SKPH), with the Forest Management Unit Section (BKPH) totalling 12 BKPHs, and the size of ​​each are as follows:

Sub KPH West Saradan:

2.   BKPH Rejuno                     : 2.825,35 Ha
3.   BKPH Kaliklampok            : 2.540,49 Ha
4.   BKPH Notopuro                 : 3.708,07 Ha

Sub KPH East Saradan:

1.   BKPH Kedungbrubus        : 3.832,75 Ha
2.   BKPH Tulung                     : 4.225,93 Ha
3.   BKPH Pajaran                    : 4.329,76 Ha
4.   BKPH Petung                     : 3.130,96 Ha

Sub KPH South Saradan:

1.   BKPH North Wilangan       : 3.286,86 Ha
2.   BKPH South Wilangan      : 3.146,76 Ha
3.   BKPH South Jatiketok       : 2.133,66 Ha
4.   BKPH North Jatiketok        : 2.755,45 Ha
